Hermès SS19 Runway Review

As Mozart's piano Concerto No. 23 played at the Hippodrome de Longchamp, Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski showcased the new Hermès Spring/Summer collection...

Crafted & tailored to such a perfection, Vanhee-Cybulski emphasized leather, bolts & closures, effortless geometry in the tailoring of the garments, and an overall Summer Sporty aesthetic for this collection. Featuring canvas, sailing coats, neutral hues with pops of bold colors, I was easily transported to a breezy, serene, Summer morning in a sailboat. A perfect summer escape.

This collection exuded such calmness (as Hermès collections usually do) that one easily felt like being swept away by the soft piano and tranquil weather.

Nadege always does an effortless job in keeping the house's DNA alive yet merging it with modernity, something that other creative designers are currently not into (think Hedi for Celine). This collection, proves yet again, that the equestrian heritage of the house is effortlessly present and welcomed in every garment.

Like a poem brought to life, enjoy the collection below.
